Sale Highlights

Peter and Barbara Cookson, Dirranbandi outlaid $26,000 in total for two bulls. They paid $14,000 for the two year Gunnadoo Vaun son, Myall Your Special (P) Lot 17 which was crowned Interbreed Champion Bull at both Roma and Longreach Shows. The second bull being the $12,000 sire Myall Yamma Lot 20. Both bulls will be used over Charolais cows to produce commercial herd bulls.

The top priced yearling bull was Myall Zorro Lot 2 bought for $12,000 by the Rowlands Family, Comet. Zorro is a son of the $61,000 Palgrove Valiant. Valiant sired eleven of the yearling bulls offered to average $6818.

Second top yearling was Myall Zac Lot 7 aged 14 1/2 months. He displayed high growth levels indicated by his ranking in the top 5% of the breed for 200, 400 and 600 day EBV's. Zac weighed in at 622kg and an EMA of 108 cm2 , he was purchased by Brett and Sue Campbell, Winton.

Myall Zsa Zsa Lot 72 a 14 month daughter of Palgrove Valiant topped the heifers at $6000 when she was bought by Samuel Holdings, Goomeri.
